If you have driven past the school recently, you may have noticed that construction is well under way at Centennial. A 4.7 million dollar bond issue was passed by patrons in May 2007 for a new Performing Arts Center. The construction will include:
- A 550-seat State-of-the-Art Auditorium, with a new entry commons area and restrooms
- A new Concessions Area
- A new District Office
- Installation of a building-wide Fire-Sprinkler System

Floor plan of existing building with new construction and remodeling06/13/2008 Construction Update:
The dirt work for the parking lot area and foundation of the new addition has been started, but has also been hampered by the recent wet weather. Relocation of utility lines and other obstacles is also taking place. Though you won’t see earth-moving equipment and dirt/mud inside the building, work on a smaller level is being done indoors as well. Deconstruction of the superintendent’s office has been completed which will make way for the construction of the new concessions area and improved student commons area. Several unexpected delays have occurred, as they usually do in projects this of this magnitude. Deficiencies were found in the existing building structure that required attention before further construction could proceed. When these bumps in the road have been smoothed, the remodeling will roll forward.
