Centennial Scores Big At Brain Brawl

Four teams from Centennial Junior High School competed Saturday, April 26th, at the eleventh annual Lincoln Northeast High School Brain Brawl. The Brain Brawl is a quiz bowl tournament for students in middle school/junior high grades. Teams entered participate in either the sixth through eighth, and ninth grade divisions. Twenty-five teams, representing fourteen different schools, participated in this year’s contest.
Logan Middle School Team A from Bellevue was the 7-8th grade division champion. Centennial’s Team D and Team A brought home the second and third place trophies, in their division, respectively. Logan Team B was the runner-up team in fourth.
Centennial’s second place team members were: Dalton Dey, Sam Wilton, Ashley Vavra, and Cameron Pfeifer. The third place team members were: Cody Pariset, Dacee Dey, Ann Wilton, and McKenna Obermier. Jeff Johnson coaches the Centennial teams.
